Adhesive for Si/C negative cathode of lithium ion battery

Lithium ion battery silicon carbon composite negative cathode binder usually applys polyacrylic acid as the main body of high molecular weight polycopolymeric polymer materials, mainly using reverse emulsion copolymerization technology, the use of hydrophilic monomers, such as acrylic acid, acrylamide copolymerization, and then use alkali neutralization to adjust the viscosity and flow characteristics of the system. But these water-soluble monomers prepared by polymerization of polymerhas very high glass transition temperature(GTT) and brittleness, can not foldor bend. It is because  the use of a large number of alkali make the binder easy to absorb water back. By pyropolymerization technology, the company prepared a block water-soluble copolymer by copolymerizing hydrophilic monomer and hydrophobic monomer, and then carried on the graft copolymerization of SBR. The binder prepared by this method has excellent rigidity and flexibility, which allow it can be bent and folded easily, and has excellent bonding strength to silicon carbon materials and does not absorb moisture.
